The rebirth of a legend

Nous sommes toujours autant fascinés par les innovations et l'impact historique des microphones Autrichiens .

la période charnière entre le tube audio du C12a et les premiers microphones à transistor fut une révolution dans la conception et l'utilisation des microphones en radiodifusion et studio d'enregistrement . En étudiant la longue et compliquée série des 414, nous voulions reproduire ce microphone légendaire. Nous nous sommes fortement inspirés de la version 412, sans doute la plus méconnue de la série lancée à la fin des années 60 et pourtant la première version à transistor bien avant le 414eb !

Les premières versions du 412/414 (P48 ) utilisaient un transformateur audio T14 qui assure la symétrisation de ce microphone et redonne vraiment vie aux meilleurs aspects du son vintage.

Le choix de la légendaire ck12 capsule 34mm en laiton est bien sûr reproduit pour ce microphone,

cela fait maintenant partie intégrante de l’histoire d'amour entre Griffon et cette capsule mythique.

We are still fascinated by the innovations and the historical impact of Austrian microphones.

The pivotal period between the C12a audio tube and the first transistor microphone was a revolution in the design and use of microphones in broadcasting and recording studio. By studying the long and complicated series of 414, we wanted to reproduce this legendary microphone. We were strongly inspired by the 412 version, undoubtedly the most overlooked of the series launched in the late 60s and yet the first transistor version long before the 414eb!

The first version of the 412/414 (P48) used an audio transformer T14 which ensures the symmetrization of this microphone and which gives new life to the best aspects of vintage sound.

The choice of the legendary ck12 34mm brass capsule is of course reproduced for this microphone,
it’s now an integral part of Griffon’s love story with this legendary capsule.
