The new GMT-477 & 247 version 2023 is a new approach and inspiration of the classic u47 with
Griffon microphone's own
GMT circuit
this microphone uses the components that made the legend of the u47 sound
a specially designed BV8 type transformer
K47 or vintage M7 style capsule in mylar
a selection of components and values close to the original
manufacture and assembly by hand in our workshop
It's not another clone among the multitude of reissues available. it does have its own sound signature
To celebrate 10 years of griffon microphone
a special very limited edition tube version
each microphone is manufactured on demand for customers who wish to find tube sound.
